One Book One School 2025-26

Rohrer Middle School is pleased to announce that we will be participating in a One Book, One School program again for the 2025-2026 school year. This is our 10th year holding a One Book, One School program!

One Book, One School is a program designed to create a shared reading experience within a school community. When an entire school reads the same book, the buzz and excitement around the book augments these benefits. Reading a book together brings the added joy of building and expanding a sense of community among students, parents, teachers, and staff – and beyond.

All Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grade students are expected to read The Beat I Drum, by Dusti Bowling over the summer. Students should be prepared to discuss the book when they return to school in September, and they can look forward to school-wide activities such as discussions, crafts, an author visit, an author luncheon, and more.

Again, to be prepared for our Fall 2025 activities, the expectation is all students will read The Beat I Drum.
